Five “Akhmat” armored vehicles attempted to cross the Crimean bridge to the invaders, but were unsuccessful – GUR

Five armored vehicles of the Russian invaders Z-STS “Akhmat” did not reach the combat zone. The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense reported damage to the armored vehicles of the invaders while moving along the illegally built Crimean bridge.

According to the GUR, yesterday, March 26, a convoy of five S-STS vehicles of the 34th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Federation was driving along the Crimean bridge in the direction of the temporarily occupied peninsula.

“However, according to official data, they were prevented from completing their journey to the end by “excessive speed and non-observance of a safe distance when moving in a convoy.” As a result, four out of five vehicles need significant repairs,” the GUR noted.

According to intelligence, “Akhmats” went to the Kherson region and had to complete the units of the occupiers operating in the Prydniprovsky direction.

Military intelligence did not specify what exactly led to the damage to Russian equipment.

REFERENCE. Z-STS “Akhmat” was created specifically by order of one of the power structures of Chechnya after the start of a full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. Russian propagandists claimed that the development of the project took only 25 days and called S-STS “one of the most interesting modern Russian developments in this area.” The Russians created the Akhmats as a simplified alternative to the Typhoons – they have worse tactical, technical and operational parameters, but they are cheaper and, according to the Russians, they can be produced faster.
