With the new year, the good resolutions for the coming 12 months come back into focus. In addition to less stress and more time for family and friends, according to a DAK study, almost 60 percent of people plan to do more sport. The way to the gym is one way of putting this plan into practice. We asked the locations in Selm, Nordkirchen and Olfen how things are currently with membership, special offers and course plans.
Im Actic Fintess (Sandforter Weg 2) In Selm, athletes can use both the fitness studio and the adjacent swimming pool for their training. Membership costs between 30 and 70 per month, depending on the initial term. Anyone who only wants access to the “Actic app” pays eight euros per month. For a short time, the fitness studio is now offering membership at a special price of 20 euros, but after one year the regular price has to be paid.
The course schedule currently includes a total of 10 offers with body workout, back fitness, sitting gymnastics, functional HIT, aqua gym, senior fitness, yoga, Zumba, Pilates and special training courses. Eight to 15 athletes are allowed to take part, depending on the course. You can register via the studio’s website or the app.
Im Clever Fit (Münsterlandstraße 23) There are no special membership offers in Selm at the beginning of the year, but something is planned there in the middle of the month, explains an employee of the fitness studio. Two tariffs are currently being offered, the basic contract for 30 euros and the all-in membership for 35 euros, which also includes the use of the wellness offers (massage and solarium). The minimum term for both offers is 12 months. Those who do not want to commit themselves for a year can opt for the “three months all inclusive” package.
The following courses are currently offered: Belly Express, Fat Burner, Bodystyling, Mobility, Core Killer, Circuit Training, Strong Back, TRX Bastic, Belly Legs Buttocks and Stretch & Relax. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 10 athletes. However, since there are enough courses during the week, they are never fully used, explains the employee.
Im Pro-Active Fitness Center (Sandforter Weg 31) In Selm, members can train in both strength and cardio areas on a training area of 312 square meters. Cost: 20 euros per month with a minimum term of 12 months. If you also want to use the solarium, you have to pay extra. Courses are not offered in the studio.
The Smartfit (Neustraße 1) offers special EMS training (electro-myo-stimulation). In the Olfen studio, therefore, only 1: 1 or a maximum of 1: 2 care is offered in the new year. Members have several options when it comes to tariffs. If athletes are only interested in EMS training, they can choose between the Flex subscription (40 euros / week), a 6-month subscription (35 euros / week), and the 12-month subscription (30 euros / week ) or the 24-month subscription (25 euros / week). Cardio EMS training and endurance training are a bit cheaper and cost between 9 and 16 euros, depending on the duration. There are also 10 cards for the two training options.
The Phoenix Spa (Robert-Bosch-Strasse 25) has adjusted its prices for the new year. With a term of 24 months, membership now costs 25 euros – this then includes either equipment training or courses. If you want to integrate both in your sports plan, you have to pay more.
As a sports and health center, the Olfener Fintessstudio offers fat burners XXL, cycling, power belly, step & shape, power pump, stomach and back fit, boxing and rehabilitation courses. Due to the lower influx, however, the offer in the morning area has been reduced somewhat, explains an employee of the Phoenix Spa. The studio is also equipped with a wellness area. Here members can buy day or 10-pass cards for use.
Das Fit Flexx (Aspastraße 7a) is also offering a changed course schedule for the new year. With Tabata and Body Pump (barbell training) two new offers are available for members. You want to get more athletes into the gym again, says one employee. Because the corona pandemic has lost some members. In addition, there is Fit Jumping, Fit Thanks to Baby, a back course and training special for pregnant women. There is no limit to the number of participants due to the low level of occupancy.
Membership in Fit Flexx costs 30 euros per month for schoolchildren, students and couples. For all other athletes, 36 euros apply. There is also the option of concluding a monthly contract, which then costs 45 or 50 euros. For an additional five euros, members can still use the solarium.
