A British fitness star recently caused a stir around the world when she attempted to travel from Sydney, Australia to Bali. Emma Doherty (26) was going on a trip alone, and planned to take a break from social media.

It didn’t work out that way.
She was told that she was not allowed on the flight to Bali, and was “stranded” at the airport in Sydney. The reason was a little water damage to her passport. She has documented the incident on TikTok.

Jail
Doherty says in her TikTok video that she has no idea what to do or where to go.
– I was just told that if they let me fly to Bali, the military and the security guards at the airport there would have imprisoned me, she claims.
– Was absolutely awesome
She further explains that the cause must have been a small amount of water damage to her passport, which she had not noticed before.
– I travel all the time and it has never been mentioned to me before. But they sure are very strict at the airport in Bali and they are known to jail people if they don’t like their passports.

The influencer goes on to say that she takes it hard that she was not allowed to go on the trip.

Her video has been viewed over 1.3 million times and hundreds of people have left comments saying that they have experienced something similar.
“The same thing happened to me. Landed in Bali and had to wait in a prison cell until I could fly back home,” writes one follower.
