The fitness chain Peloton has responded with a joke to the price drop that the reboot of the series And just like that has caused. It posted a video on social media in which nothing seems to be wrong.

In the first episode of And just like that, the reboot of Sex and the city which was shown on HBO on Thursday, the character John Preston – better known as Mister Big – dies of a heart attack, after a hard workout on his Peloton exercise bike. This caused a price drop for the company: the stock market value fell by no less than 16 percent and ended up at the lowest level since May 2020.
Peloton knew that an exercise bike of the brand would be used, but not that anyone would die on it. It made this known after the broadcast. In a response, the company said “Mister Big’s lifestyle and family history are the suspected cause of death”, and that “use of the stationary bike could have just delayed the heart attack”.
On Sunday, the company posted an additional response on social media, bringing Mister Big back to life. “And just like that… he’s alive”, it says.
