Fitbit intends to expand the functionality of its app designed to track vital signs and physical activity.
The program now allows you to monitor changes in heart rate throughout the day, track stress levels and monitor oxygen levels in the blood. This data, among other things, makes it possible to prevent possible health problems and optimize the workload during training.
The Fitbit app is now reportedly bringing blood sugar tracking functionality. This opportunity will be useful primarily for people who suffer from diabetes mellitus – a disease in which the level of glucose in the blood is increased.
It is important to note that this is not a non-invasive blood sugar test. Users will have to enter their own glucose data or import information from other systems.
It is also noted that Apple and Samsung are working on technologies that will provide the ability to determine blood sugar levels in a non-invasive way.
