The venue for this year’s FIT Congress is Petersberg near Bonn. At the place where Chancellor Konrad Adenauer signed the Petersberg Agreement and where the state guests of the Bonn Republic came and went, the “Females in IT” will meet for the seventh time on November 7, 2024 to talk about artificial intelligence and digital detox , IT security, resilience, the new work-life-love-life balance and digital transformation. In this historic place, women from IT, e-health and e-government exchange their experiences, learn from each other and support each other in business.

The agenda of the “Females in IT – Future of IT” Congress 2024 includes many stimulating keynotes and discussion panels as well as think tanks and workshops. In her opening keynote, digital therapist, best-selling author and internet veteran Anitra Eggler reveals why digital detox and being undistractable are becoming the superpower of the 21st century. Eggler also explains why it’s important to improve your screen-life balance. Ultimately, professional success should not be dominated by email stress and FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), but rather by a good work-life-love-life balance. And that’s exactly where AI comes into play, to take care of annoying tasks like sorting your email inbox.

Also keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Julia de Groote, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, sees artificial intelligence as a challenge and an opportunity at the same time and in her lecture emphasizes the importance of individual and organizational resilience as success factors in the digital era. Prof. Dr. takes a look at how artificial intelligence not only changes business models, but also leadership and collaboration. Isabell M. Welpe, Technical University of Munich. Modern leadership practice is also one of the focuses of the lecture by Carolin de Lorenzi, Director Workplace Solution Sales & Development at Computacenter. Her focus is on promoting women and the next generation in IT as well as the exchange between generations.

In her keynote, Isabel Netzband, Head of Public Policy & Governmental Affairs at Fujitsu, addresses the question of whether digitalization and sustainability are the new IT dream team. Susann Homann, CDO at Halle University Hospital, discusses what digital transformation in healthcare can look like. Various discussion rounds will also examine the potential that AI opens up in your own company and how young women can get excited about IT.

The interactive roundtables and workshops also cover a diverse range of topics. The discussion will be about digital transformation in administration and citizen services, about the importance of a new mindset for the successful use of AI and automation or about challenges in hospital IT. Other focal points include efficient and innovative collaboration in competitive ecosystems, dealing with cyber incidents and strengthening the ability to act in crisis situations.

As a highlight of the FIT Congress 2024, the Women’s IT Network (WIN) and Vogel IT Media will once again honor outstanding women from IT, e-government and e-health with the WIN Awards. This time there were around 137 nominations. The winners in five categories will be chosen during the evening gala, which will be introduced lively on the Petersberg by Bernd Preuschoff. He is not only successful as a dancer, but also as a digital expert.
