FIS ‘longtime secretary general must go after “total mistrust”

It states FIS in one pressemelding. It turns out that an overwhelming majority voted to remove Lewis from the top job in the union. She must resign immediately.

What exactly is behind the decision is not known. Norway’s ski president Erik Røste sits on the FIS board, but will not elaborate on the matter.

– This is a personnel matter internally in FIS. I have no further comments beyond what was stated in the press release, Røste says to NTB.

Lewis has worked in the FIS system for 26 years. She has had the responsibility as Secretary General since 2000.

FIS uses strong words in the message about the Briton who was an alpinist in his active career. The board writes that it has completely lost confidence in the 55-year-old.
