On January 20, season three will be released with the popular robbers on NRK. This time a little brighter in mind – and with a long-awaited romance in the garage.

Last season ended with a clear hint that GT and Hege would finally get each other. The first clip from the new season, indicates that there are very hot feelings between them. The question is whether they will last, admits series creator Linn-Jeanethe Kyed:
– Hege and GT have taken the relationship a step further, and are doing so well together, that Hege holds his breath for every day that passes. This must be too good to be true, right?
Will shake at gender roles
Linn-Jeanethe Kyed is aware that even though the season is brighter than last, the characters get a bit of everything to sharpen this time as well:
– Four years ago, we laid out a plan for «Rådebank», both in terms of theme and number of seasons. Season 3 is naturally brighter than last season, but the series is called “Rådebank” for a reason. We also now want to show what unhealthy ideals can do to people in addition to shaking established gender roles, she says to VG.
–The first seasons became viewer magnets for NRK. The series was originally made for a young man of 20 years from the village, according to producer Tom Kittilsen, but broke through as something much broader. Especially after season 2, which received much praise to address mental health.
Now it is clear that the new season will be released on January 20th.
– We are very happy and excited about the response, we get a lot of feedback from people who have seen the first seasons, says Kittilsen.
He states that the themes of the seasons are inspired by a statement from the Council for Mental Health:
“Imagine if more (men) could talk about living a completely normal life, how to deal with financial insecurity, love grief, or finding their place?
–– What is the theme for season 3?
– We have been dealing with financial insecurity and love grief. Now we’ll look at finding their place.
– Does that mean this is the last season?
– I will not answer that. No comment!
Gang war in season 3?
When VG was filming in Bø this summer, it was clear that the season would take a new direction. A new gang has established itself in the village, and they challenge GT, Hege, Nilsen and the other robbers we know from before.
–An important detail is that they each swear by their own car brand.
– We in our group drive a BMW, while the others are Volvo enthusiasts. They call us “the bimmers”, said Sofia Tjelta Sydness and Tord Kinge.
Both have high-profile acting jobs behind them. Sofia Tjelta Sydness in the Viaplay series «Delete Me». The series received a lot of attention for its focus on russetid, rus, press and video sharing in social media.
Tord Kinge has starred in series such as “First Time Service”, “Lifestyle” and “Nudes”. He plays the character Martin.
Robbers in line to become extras
The popularity after the first seasons made robbers from all over Norway volunteered as extras. But many had to be rejected.
– We received an incredible number of inquiries. People approached NRK, directors and only appeared on the set. It was touching, but unfortunately we had to reject many because of the danger of infection, says producer Tom Marius Kittilsen.
GT gets new car
–As VG wrote this summer, GT had to get a new car, after the iconic 240 from 1987 became printed by the series dramatically in season 2. The new car is a Volvo 850 station wagon, obviously lowered and rigged with rough stereo.
