Cars are modified all over the world, including in India. See how one local enthusiast “tuned” his Škoda Kushaq.
The tuning scene in India is understandably different from ours, Czech or generally European, especially in the case of new cars, it will probably not be so big. At least the story of the allegedly first Skoda Kushaq with increased performance suggests it. The small SUV, developed specifically for the Indian market, is already on sale from the summer of 2021.
That this dark specimen is the first “tuned” Kushaq in India (and therefore in the world), claims its owner Arav Sethi, who at the beginning of this year went to the workshop of the Autopsyche company in Delhi, where he had the engine’s performance increased by software modification Stage 1 by Code6.
At the same time, Sethi owns a Kushaq with a turbocharged liter three-cylinder, whose serial output reaches 85 kW (115 hp) and a torque of 178 Nm. After adjusting the liters according to the owner, it provides a maximum power of 107 kW (145 hp) and a maximum torque of 240 Nm. Arav claims that the difference is noticeable.
In addition to increasing the performance, the Indian enthusiast made several other modifications, some design, but also equipped the car with new wheels and also played with LED headlights.
On your own YouTube channel Sethi regularly shows his Kushaq, even in action. He devotes a number of videos to sprints, in which he compares the acceleration of the Škoda with other cars. The shots are also interesting for the reason that we can see cars that are not sold here. For example, a Škoda Slavia.
