Authorities maintain a strong deployment of first response teams nationwide. One of the devices is located in the Historic Center, to provide a timely response to any need.
The director of Civil Protection, Luis Alonso Amaya, the director of the Fire Department, Baltazar Solano and the governor of San Salvador, Eduardo Godoy, called on the population to follow prevention measures.
“We have carried out 15 simple water rescues, 20 deep ones, in addition, 212 traffic accidents have been reported, in which 135 injured people have been treated,” explained the director of Civil Protection, Luis Alonso Amaya.
The Government maintains a presence with more than 100,000 public servants from the different institutions of the National Civil Protection System, with the purpose of guaranteeing the well-being of national and foreign vacationers who are preparing to look for places of great attendance.
“We are doubling our inspections to provide security to tourists visiting hotels, restaurants and shopping centers. We are committed to continuing to guarantee safety and that the population can enjoy them safely,” added the director of the Fire Department, Baltazar Solano.
The officials reiterated that they maintain a deployment on roads, verifying that traffic regulations are complied with; In addition, presence of the Lifeguard Unit at 110 points on 28 beaches along the entire Salvadoran coast.
