As part of NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory mission, the automobile-sized vehicle Curiosity, which carried out exploration activities in Gale crater on Mars, has been on the red planet since 2012.
NEW IMAGE FROM MARS
The rover has tasks such as studying Martian geology and climate, analyzing whether there was life and water shelter on Mars before, and investigating planetary habitation and whether humanoid exploration is possible in the future.
NASA’s Curiosity spacecraft on Mars has sent a remarkable panorama from Mars. Sharing this new image on November 23, NASA published the image with a “postcard” note.
Here is that new image:
In the center of the photo is a view down the Steep Mountain that the traveler has been climbing since 2014.
On the far right of the panorama is Mount Rafael Navarro. The name of this mountain comes from a member of the Curiosity team who passed away this year. In the back part of Rafael Navarro Mountain, the upper part of Sarp Mountain draws attention.
By investigating sedimentary rocks filled with clay minerals, experts are trying to clarify the problem of whether the area was once habitable for a microbial life.
