Graz is getting a new creative center: CO CREATE, the city’s first open sewing studio, is being built on Münzgrabenstrasse. The project is aimed at designers and sewing enthusiasts who are looking for a professional space and high-quality equipment to implement their own ideas.
Exchange and joint projects
The initiator Selina Grassera set and costume designer from Graz, designed the room as a meeting place and workshop for creative minds. Ideal working conditions are to be created here with machines for industrial sewing work, a spacious cutting table and various high-quality tools. But CO CREATE offers more than just technical equipment: it should be a place for exchange and joint projects – a meeting place for people who are enthusiastic about fashion and design.
Over 5,000 euros were collected
The project is currently collecting the final funds to equip the studio through a crowdfunding campaign. Supporters had the opportunity to support the project until October 14th and thus make a contribution to the emerging sewing community in Graz. A total of 5,235 euros were collected.
