Raipur ∙ The Congress made its first presence in the Lok Sabha election field through the political resolution passed in the plenary session. Along with announcing a 2004-style alliance against the BJP, he presented a short list of things he plans to do if he comes to power at the Centre.
Now the BJP is focusing on constituencies which it has not yet been able to win. The method is that the BJP first takes the stage with the election promises and the Congress comes up with the answer. The opinion of the leadership was that it should change. The party hopes that the first move made now will benefit this year’s assembly elections as well.
Initiatives will be taken to unite the ‘like-minded’ in the opposition. The opposition parties are of one mind to bring down the BJP. At the conclusion of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Mallikarjun Kharge wrote a letter and invited 23 parties with this stance to Srinagar. But only 8 parties went to Srinagar. Many parties did not participate because it was only a Congress programme.
At the same time, the response of other parties to Srinagar’s attempt to bring together like-minded people by mentioning the things they intend to implement after coming to power will not be like Srinagar. But we have to wait and see how Nitish Kumar and others will react to the warning given by the Congress that the third front will also benefit the BJP.
