President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky met for the first time with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. This happened on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Granada, Spain. Zelensky himself spoke about the short conversation.
“Ukraine is interested in the stability of the region and friendly relations with its countries. We also discussed our bilateral cooperation and interregional economic projects,” wrote Vladimir Zelensky in his telegram channel, commenting on the meeting. At the same time, he stated that he met Pashinyan for the first time.
Earlier, Pashinyan’s wife Anna Hakobyan participated in the summit of first ladies and gentlemen in Kyiv, reports RT. This meeting was organized by Zelensky’s wife Elena. During the summit, Hakobyan transferred humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which was the first from Armenia since February 24, 2022.
A meeting of representatives of Armenia, Turkey, France, Germany, the European Union and Ukraine is taking place in Granada, Spain. Zelensky’s visit in advance not announced for security reasons. Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev refused to travel, writes RT.
