Lin Yongqing, an epidemic prevention physician at the CDC, said that what is special about typhoid fever is that the severity of the infection is related to the amount of bacteria eaten. About 2% to 5% of them may become chronic carriers, and the intestines may intermittently shed bacteria, causing pollution. , human-to-human transmission occurs. For such cases, in addition to complete treatment, continuous tracking and rehabilitation are also required; however, the main routes of infection are still food and water.
