first ‘indirect’ comparison between Xbox One X and Series X

Content creator ElAnalistaDeBits compared the graphics on the Xbox One X version of Watch Dogs Legion with similar scenes seen in the video 4K in Ray Tracing su Xbox Series X recently shared by Ubisoft.

The famous youtuber, who specializes in this kind of comparative, has thus used the already available Xbox One X version of WD Legion to “recreate ingame” the different pieces of gameplay shown by Ubisoft in the latest video dedicated to the graphics of the edition nextgen coming soon to Xbox Series X.

The most evident difference between the two green-crossed transpositions of Ubisoft’s open-world adventure can be felt in the lighting system, managed in a totally pre-calculated on xbox One X and capable of generating reflections in real time on Series X thanks to the adoption of the Ray Tracing.

By carefully observing the scenes of this “indirect” comparison, there is also a (albeit slight) increased graphic fidelity in the geometries, effects and shadows of dystopian London to explore on Xbox Series X. What this comparison does not show, of course, are the additional benefits of an exquisitely playful nature offered by factors such as greater fluidity or significantly reduced loading times, two elements that should distinguish nextgen versions of this and, hopefully, many other crossgen titles.

The release of Watch Dogs Legion on the nextgen console is scheduled to coincide with the launch of the Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5, respectively scheduled for the 10 and 19 November.
