A first teaser for season 4 of “The Crown” aired Thursday on Netflix.
After the tumult of the 70s, “The Crown” continues its exploration of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II with the 80s. A decade which marks in particular the arrival within the royal family of Lady Diana Spencer, who married the prince Charles and heir to the throne in 1981. The first images of the Princess of Wales in season 4 of the Netflix series were unveiled in a teaser Thursday. We see Emma Corrin, who plays the mother of princes William and Harry, in a wedding dress or even cornered by the photographers.

This first teaser is also the opportunity to see Gillian Anderson in the role of Iron Lady Margaret Thatcher. Political tensions will arise between her and Elizabeth II, still embodied by Olivia Colman. This is the last time the British actress wears the crown of the sovereign. She will be replaced by Imelda Staunton in seasons 5 and 6. The entire cast will also be redesigned. It has been known for a few days that the Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki will play Princess Diana during the last years of her life before her fatal accident in Paris in 1997. Prince Philip will take on the features of Jonathan Pryce and Princess Margaret of Lesley Manville.
In the meantime, Season 4 will be available from November 15 on Netflix.
