The Bundesliga handball players from HSV Hamburg celebrated their first home win. Coach Torsten Jansen’s team won 30:26 (15:11) against TBV Lemgo Lippe and now has 5:3 points. The Hanseatic League’s best thrower was captain Niklas Weller with eight goals. Samuel Zehnder scored nine goals for the guests.

Hamburg’s new goalkeeper Mohamed El-Tayar was in the squad for the first time. The Egyptian initially took a seat on the bench next to Johannes Bitter. Robin Haug started between the posts. The Norwegian was the guarantee that the hosts took a clear lead at 10:5 in the 19th minute.

Moritz Sauter scores important goals for Hamburg

After the break, Moritz Sauter took on a lot of responsibility. The U21 world champion scored important goals. With his 13th save at 27:24 (58th), Haug secured the decision and HSVH’s second win of the season.

Bitter for the North Germans: In the first half, pivot Andreas Magaard suffered a serious finger injury, which made it impossible for the Dane to play again.
