Daniel Schlager will referee RB Leipzig’s second leg against Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. The 32-year-old is one of the less experienced referees and only has 45 games in the top German division.
Silva scored a penalty against Stuttgart
He had the whistle in his hand seven times when RB Leipzig was on the match sheet. Not once did the Saxons leave the field as losers. And: Not once were they the hosts. In total, Schlager issued ten warnings against Leipziger. Against Hannover 96 in his first game and against VfB Stuttgart in his last game as Patrick Ittrich’s representative, he each gave a penalty for RB, who were converted by Marcel Halstenberg and Andre Silva.
Only one goal for RB in Schlager games
From the point of view of the people of Messestadt, the record under his leadership is impressive. There were only two draws in the end and, above all, RB only conceded a single goal in the 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt. Schlager had cut a good figure overall, only when Willi Orban complained about a previous foul by Hinteregger when the goal was conceded.
Sven Waschitzki-Günther and Arno Blos are on the sidelines. dr Jan Neitzel-Petersen is the 4th official and Markus Schmidt will intervene with Holger Henschel as video assistant.
