While here we await a new Renault Duster, in India it was kept to the current model with several updates. After several design changes, it now includes the Turbo engine that Colombian models will surely have later.
Among the particularities of the Renault range in India, is the First generation duster that is still sold there. It is true, we still have it here too, but while in Colombia we are waiting for the new model, in the Asian country the previous model will remain in force with a series of updates that seek to keep it in tune with the demands of the clientele.
After a thorough renovation at the design level, this successful SUV now incorporates the engine into its Indian range 1.3-liter, 154-horsepower, 254-Nm Turbo TCe of torque, one of the next generation turbocharged powertrains that could get the next series assembled in Envigado.
This power plant can be obtained in said territory combined with a six-speed manual gearbox, The automatic type CVT X-Tronic with manual mode. The brand highlighted the direct fuel injection system, and the possibility of reducing emissions and consumption while improving performance.
Other improvements
In addition to the mechanical issue, the Renault Duster for India now receives a new 7.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system, connectivity with Android Auto y Apple CarPlay, speech recognition, cruise control, Arkamys stereo with four speakers and two tweeters, and button start.
As for safety, the SUV reinforces its equipment in that country in compliance with recent Indian regulations on the subject. Incorporates ABS + EBD brakes, two airbags, reverse sensors, seat belt reminder, speed limit alert, Stability control, hill start assistant and reverse camera.
The arrival of the Turbo engine to the Duster range in that market makes it the most powerful SUV in its segment, as the brand highlights in its advertising. In addition, it has a revamped grill with link racks, “C” shaped LED daytime running lights, new steering wheel and wheels. The board is also different from how we know it in Colombia.
Meanwhile, in Colombia the successful SUV of the French brand continues its commercial life without problems and with great success, as it remains the first step in this type of vehicle. Likewise, the expectation for the arrival of your next replacement continues to grow.
