The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitri Chernishenko, closed the first Russia 2024 Future Games this Sunday in the Russian city of Kazan.
“The first Future Games in history have been held successfully,” said the senior executive, who participated together with the president of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnijanov, in the colorful closing ceremony of the games, held in the city. from Kazan from February 19 to March 3.
The culmination of the sporting event was a show in the form of a phygital concert that brought together renowned artists with digital performers, where programmable mobile screens and projection surfaces blurred the line between the real and virtual world.
Inaugurated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the first Future Games became a unique part of world sports history, and began precisely in the Russian city of Kazan.
During the competitions, about two thousand athletes from 107 countries had to demonstrate virtuosity, perseverance and will to win.
Likewise, the contests were covered by more than 1,100 journalists, of which 300 from foreign media, while the city mayor’s office provided 33 hotels, as well as 300 restaurants and cafes for the event participants.
There is no doubt that the competition of the best among the best was an exceptionally exciting event and won the hearts of the spectators.
In the Future Games, new disciplines were developed that use modern technologies, the digital environment and physical activity.
The competition format involved the use of the latest advances in cybersports, robotics, augmented and virtual reality, information technologies and artificial intelligence.
