First Frankfurt V-Day film
Worldwide day of action against violence against girls * and women * digital this year
The “V-Day – One Billion Rising” is an international day of action that was launched in 2012 to demonstrate the extent of violence against women * and girls * and to protest against it. Since 2014, there has been a dance demo in Frankfurt on February 14th, in which hundreds of people have participated in the past few years. The campaign is supported by the women’s department of the city of Frankfurt and a broad campaign alliance. This year the dance demo cannot take place due to the pandemic.
Instead, many institutions, together with the women’s department and head of the women’s department, express their solidarity and protest against violence against women * and girls * in a rousing short film: with dance, language and gestures.
