Epic games
It’s pretty hard to remember a time when Fortnite wasn’t all about crossovers as seasons 4 and 5 were about it, and it looks like that will continue at least at the beginning of 6.
Season 4 made sense as it had a Marvel theme and could even be explained for season 5 as the zero point was exposed and was a gateway to many different realities.
Now that we’re entering season six, it looks like the crossovers will continue in some form, and the first has already been revealed.
World famous soccer star Neymar Jr. has apparently been confirmed as the first skin we’ll see in Season 6, but will he stop with him?

After a series of teasers from Epic and Neymar himselfIt looks like his skin is practically confirmed at this point.
It’s definitely weird, but not because it’s Neymar. It’s clear that Epic is a fan of the sport as we have whole skin sets that revolve around soccer. So that’s not a big surprise.
We don’t yet know how it will be released when it comes out, whether through the Item Shop or something else.
For example, The Mandalorian was the first skin to be included in the Battle Pass and only unlocked through purchase. There is a chance Neymar will be released the same way, but it remains to be seen. The new season starts on Tuesday, so our question will be answered then.
Will there be more crossovers?
The start of the new season will be important as we know if more crossovers are on the way.
Keep in mind that Kratos showed up just days after Season 5 started and things never really stopped from there.
Neymar looks like he’s a skin that shows up instantly, and if Zero Point is left exposed in season 6, there’s a strong chance the crossovers will continue.
It’s really hard to think of what could possibly come next, but considering that they essentially pulled Neymar out of nowhere, there are many directions the developers can go next.
We still have a list of gaming legends that we’d love to see in-game at some point, and all five are still missing, although the list is a bit dated.
If Epic is to continue the crossover trend there will definitely still be an audience for it, even if it’s an extremely expensive endeavor.
Before getting too far ahead of ourselves, we have to mention that nothing is confirmed and there is a chance that zero will be included this season which means the door is closed, at least from a canonical point of view.
Crossovers could definitely still happen, but Epic has used zero as an excuse for all of the different universes popping up in Fortnite. Batman has yet to come to the island through a zero-point rift next season. So maybe there is still a chance that it will remain suspended.
Only time will tell and Season 6 begins March 16th.
