Do you remember Honor? The Chinese mobile phone brand was once owned by Huawei, which, however, sold Honor to a separate company to avoid the phones. US boycott of Huawei and thus be able to be sold on the global market again.
In Sweden, there is, among other things, the brand’s latest mobile, Honor 50, as well as some other models.
Fans of folding mobile phones can hope that one of Honor’s upcoming models will also be released on the Swedish market. The Chinese mobile phone manufacturer is in fact working on a folding mobile that gets a design that is strongly inspired by Galaxy Z Fold 3 from Korean Samsung. Honor has revealed this herself, including on Twitter:
Unfold all the potential. This is HONOR’s first foldable flagship phone, the #HONORMagicV. pic.twitter.com/kijORIGxg1

The new folding phone will be called Honor Magic V and has an 8-inch foldable screen with FHD + resolution, a 6.45-inch second screen, a 108 MP camera and a battery of 4,500 mAh.
Behind the fold-out screen is the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor from Qualcomm and drives everything.
Honor Magic V will be launched in the near future on the company’s Chinese home market. If we ever get the mobile phone to look at our latitudes is, as I said, an open question.
Another Chinese folding mobile is reminiscent of the Galaxy Z Fold
The new folding mobile from Honor follows in the footsteps of Oppo Find N, which has just been launched with a 7.1-inch folding screen, 50 MP primary camera, Snapdragon 888 processor and 12 GB of RAM.
Oppo is owned by the same group that owns OnePlus, and since earlier this year they have merged their respective development departments and mobiles from both brands have from next year same operating system.
Whether this means that the mobile phones will be available for purchase in Swedish stores remains to be seen.
