An escape route to Belgium beckons for Razvan Marin. The Ajax midfielder was unable to live up to expectations in Amsterdam and is a reserve player under Erik ten Hag. Club Brugge wants to take over.
That reports The Telegraph. For Marin, twelve million euros were paid to Standard Liège last summer. He started the season in the starting line-up, but soon ended up on the bench. Marin couldn’t handle the higher level of Ajax and now also seems to have to tolerate Ryan Gravenberch in the pecking order. The question is how many playing minutes he will receive under Ten Hag.
The Telegraph reports that Club Brugge will report for Marin on Wednesday in Amsterdam. The Belgians want to hire the Ajax player first. It is possible that the club will take it over permanently in the summer.
Marin still has a contract with Ajax until 2024. With a view to the European Championship, it is important for the player that he gets to play every week, so that his place in the selection of Romania is not compromised.
