First direct flight from Salzburg to Alicante from March

From the end of March, Salzburg residents can fly non-stop directly from their home airport to Alicante twice a week. For the first time, Ryanair is also offering a holiday destination for the summer.

Ryanair’s first summer destination in Salzburg

The flight to the Mediterranean coast adds to Ryanair’s existing offer from Salzburg, which consists of London Stansted (all year round) and Manchester and Dublin in winter. This will further strengthen the Irish airline’s presence on the Salzburg market. “As Europe’s No. 1 airline, we are very pleased to be able to offer our Salzburg passengers a new direct connection to the Mediterranean this summer,” explained Ryanair’s Andreas Gruber. Ryanair was founded in Ireland in 1985 as a low-cost airline. It is based in Dublin and ‘six’ the largest airline in Europe in terms of passenger numbers. For the financial year 2023/24, Ryanair recorded a 9 percent increase in passenger numbers and was able to carry 184 million passengers. The average utilization of the aircraft is 94 percent. Ryanair operates a fleet of 298 aircraft, with a further 213 on order.

• London Stansted: daily (November-March) Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday (April-October)
