First Departmental Oratory and Academic Argumentation Contest will be this Thursday in Valledupar

This Thursday, November 30, the first Departmental Oratory and Academic Argumentation Contest will take place in the city of Valledupar.

In the tournament there will be students from the Oswaldo Quintana Quintana, Pedro Castro Monsalvo (Instpecam) and Manuel Germán Cuello schools, located in the capital of Caesarea; and the Ciro Pupo and San Francisco de Asís institutions, from the municipality of La Paz.

The event will begin at 8 am and will last until 5:30 pm at the House of Culture in Valledupar. That same day will be the final, the winners will receive recognition and bonuses to redeem in books.

VALLEDUPAR YOUTH COUNCIL

This is an initiative that was born in the Municipal Youth Council of Valledupar. One of the counselors, Jhonatan Rojas, explained to EL PILÓN that 9th, 10th and 11th grade students from the aforementioned schools were trained in public speaking and argumentation.

“The 7 best students from each institution were chosen for the final stage where the 5 best will be awarded,” Rojas added. The contest will have juries and will be open to the public.
