Maggie De Block had announced the death of a first patient in Belgium, before denying the information.
The condition of a Belgian septuagenarian patient infected with the Covid-19 virus is deteriorating, confirmed the cabinet of the Minister of Health Maggie De Block in Belga, who however formally denies any death.
The minister regrets that false information was raised in the media and calls for calm and serenity.
Jan Eyckmans, spokesperson for the FPS Public Health, said in a message posted on Twitter that the information circulating on the death of a patient in Belgium was not correct.
