first death in Dijon

The Bourgogne-France-Comté Regional Health Agency announces four new deaths in the region this Tuesday March 17. One patient died in Dijon, it is the first case in the department of Côte-d’Or to die from the coronavirus. The three other deceased patients were hospitalized in Mâcon. In Burgundy-Franche-Comté, 10 deaths were reported on Tuesday, 4 more than on Monday. A total of 156 patients are hospitalized in the region, including 31 in intensive care. The ARS calls on all hospitals in the region to activate plan 2 of their “white plan”, which is already the case at the CHU of Dijon and Besançon for example.

To prevent the virus from spreading, ARS reminds you to adapt your behavior depending on his situation:

• If you have not been exposed to the coronavirus, to your knowledge: Always apply the gestures and behaviors that help curb the epidemic: stay at home and limit travel as much as possible, wash your hands regularly, do not kiss and respect a distance of one meter with any other person.
• If you have been in contact with a confirmed case or if you live with a confirmed case : isolate yourself to the maximum, respect barrier gestures and monitor your state of health. If symptoms occur, call your doctor but do not go to his office, laboratory or emergency room, asks the ARS.
• If you have symptoms that make you think of coronavirus (cough, fever) : stay at home, avoid contact and call your doctor. If symptoms worsen, with difficulty breathing and signs of choking, call 15.
