First DAF truck unloads | Financial

The Dutch truck builder reopened the production lines in Eindhoven, the Belgian Westerlo and Leyland in the United Kingdom after additional measures were taken to protect the safety of employees.

For example, everyone in the factories wears a mask and their tasks and distribution flows have been adjusted so that everyone can keep 1.5 meters away from colleagues. There are also more disinfectants for the staff.

DAF CEO Harry Wolters says that the company is not that much concerned about how high production is at the moment. “The safety of the employees of DAF and Leyland is our main priority.” Wolters says that production will only be increased if it is safe to do so.
