Three years in prison could receive charges of infecting a Czech
A 43-year-old Czech man has been accused of deliberately distributing COVID-19 and could therefore be sentenced to three years in prison, BGNES reports.
The Czech prosecutor’s office has blamed a resident of the town of Vlasim, 65km southeast of Prague, for the crime.
“A criminal case has been filed against a 43-year-old resident of Vlasim, accused of deliberately spreading the coronavirus. He faces up to three years in prison,” police spokeswoman Barbora Schnivesovam was quoted as saying by BGNES.
Police found that the man, who was ordered to isolate himself at home after a positive COVID-19 test, ignored this requirement and visited public places without a medical mask. He is accused of deliberately endangering the health and lives of nearly 100 citizens with whom he was in contact.
