All persons who lived or traveled in the province of Hubei, China, are considered at high risk of having been exposed to this virus and are subject to a temporary “quarantine” of 14 days upon entering the United States.

The person was isolated as reported by the CDC and is under medical care in a San Antonio hospital. The name of the hospital has not been disclosed.

This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the United States to 15. “There will probably be additional cases in the coming days and weeks, even among other people who recently returned from Wuhan.”, the CDC said in a press release.

The Chinese province of Hubei, in the center of the coronavirus outbreak, reported on Thursday a record increase in both deaths and new cases of infection, with 242 deaths and 14,480 new infections, only in Hubei.

The total number of deaths in the world so far is 1,370 (only three outside of China) and that of contagion already amounts to 60,348.
