A woman who returned to Bulgaria from France 4 days ago has a proven flu of the “Cambodia” type, which is circulating in Europe.
The virus was proven in the laboratory of the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases. The woman had a high fever and a cough. The coronavirus test she underwent at the Mother’s Home Hospital in Sofia was negative.
She also had a quick flu test, which was positive. A sample was sent for testing to the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases. Influenza A (H3N2) has been shown.
According to epidemiologists, the virus is already circulating in Europe. It is accompanied by complications that often require hospital treatment.
