First arrest in Belgian ‘upper world’: ‘Antwerp chief inspector leaked information’ | Abroad

ANTWERP – Early on Thursday, an Antwerp chief inspector was arrested who allegedly passed on police data to the drug criminals against substantial payment. It is the first arrest from the “linked upper world,” alluded to by Justice Minister Van Quickenborne. Today, some of the 48 arrested in the case appear in court.
