The objective of High Theater Festivalwhich will take place from October 10 to 12, 2024, is to unite and expand the boundaries of theater. For this reason, in addition to the activities that will take place at the CDC – Cultural Center of Arts and People in the town of General Roca in Río Negro (July 9, 1043), the Alto Valle corridor will be opened, bringing works also to Neuquén and Five Jumps. The show schedule will be as follows:
Thursday 10
9 p.m.: “Detainees” from Puerto Montt, Chile.
10 p.m.: “Theatrical interventions – CDC theater workshop” by General Roca.
10:30 p.m.: “I’m always coming back” by General Roca.
Friday the 11th
9:30 p.m.: “Atenta Ida” from La Rioja.
10:30 p.m.: “Instructions for eating a barbecue” from Córdoba.
Saturday 12
7 p.m.: “Terricide – We are one soul” by General Roca.
9:30 p.m.: “Slices of me” from San Luis.
10:30 p.m.: “Self-help manual” from Santiago, Chile.
The agenda includes two functions outside the CDC: “Instructions for eating a barbecue” will be presented on Thursday the 10th at 10:30 and 2:30 p.m. at the ISFD No. 12 and at the Provincial Puppetry School in the city of Neuquén, while “Atenta Ida” will do the same on Saturday the 12th at 8:30 p.m. in the Sala Pichi Main on route 151, kilometer 11, in Cinco Saltos.
Regarding the training proposalsthe intensive clown seminar will be led by Rocío Spinelli (San Luis) on Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the humor and improvisation workshop by Sol Merlina Veiga and Nina Huara (Córdoba) will be on Friday the 11th from 2 to 6 p.m.; The intensive acting seminar “(De)compose the scene” with Paula Baigorrí (La Rioja) will take place on Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and the “Artivism” conversation will be on Saturday the 12th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
