Federal Office for Civil Protection distributes official danger announcements
In the morning, the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance distributed official danger announcements for numerous federal states or individual cities and regions. Including Baden-Württemberg, Saxony-Anhalt and the major cities of Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt am Main. There the emergency numbers 112 and sometimes 110 were canceled. In Cologne, a large-scale failure of electricity, telephone network and drinking water was initially reported. At 6:20 a.m. only a fault in the emergency call was reported.
Emergency failures are increasing
As early as September 29th, the emergency number 112 was completely or partially disturbed in many places in Bavaria at midday. The greater Munich, Regensburg and Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate area were affected. Even then it was a nationwide problem. In other parts of Germany, too, emergency numbers were sometimes not available. The regional control centers had warned the people about the catastrophe app Katwarn. Later the all-clear was given on the smartphones. As the Deutsche Telekom announced, there had been a disturbance in the telecommunications network.
