“First of all, it must be ensured that the participants are in a protected learning environment,” says Hans-Joachim Hawesch, training manager at Johanniter in Würzburg. “We ensure compliance with safety regulations in our rooms, such as maintaining distance by reducing the number of participants and intensifying disinfection.” Although this means additional effort in preparation, this is essential to protect the participants, says Hawesch.
In order to ensure safe first aid training in Corona times, the focus at the beginning is on hygiene measures for safe course implementation: In addition to the general rules on distance, proper hand washing and hand disinfection, the cough-sneezing label and the correct wearing of the mouth and nose are given Protection explained.
