Not 70 percent, but 90 percent of the population must be vaccinated against the new coronavirus. At least that’s what vaccinologist Corinne Vandermeulen (KU Leuven) says. Why is that figure suddenly 20 percent higher, while 70 percent was already sufficient at the beginning of the crisis?

To really stop the corona epidemic, we have to adjust our vaccination target significantly. Not 70 percent of the population, but 90 percent should be vaccinated. At least that’s what they say…
