Liverpool still without Roberto Firmino when facing Villarreal. Firmino’s leg is still having problems so he can’t train normally.
Firmino has been absent since mid-April when he started the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City. After that, Firmino missed four Liverpool matches including the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Villarreal last week.
Firmino apparently has problems with his legs so that it is difficult to walk. Even without Firmino’s presence, Liverpool are still going fast but they still need the Brazilian’s power.
Because, Liverpool have a mission to wipe out four titles this season. One of the conditions is to advance to the Champions League final if you can get past Villarreal.
Armed with a 2-0 advantage, Liverpool visit El Madrigal, Wednesday (4/5/2022) early morning WIB for the match second leg of the semifinals. Unfortunately, Firmino has not been able to take part in that match.
Firmino’s leg has not recovered properly so he must be absent. However, Firmino was still brought to Spain with the first team to support the struggles of his teammates.
“Bobby can’t run yet. It’s not a serious injury, but he still feels a real pain in his middle finger bone. He will join our trip, but will not play yet. We hope that in the near future he will be able to appear,” said the manager. Liverpool Juergen Klopp on the official UEFA website.
Roberto Firmino He has made 31 appearances this season with 11 goals and four assists. Throughout this season, Firmino has often been back and forth in the treatment room due to muscle and hamstring injuries.
