TIMESINDONESIA, PROBOLINGGO – Probolinggo Police, East Java, has taken firm action to deal with the disturbing spike in cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF).
In an effort to prevent this, they will carry out fogging in all areas of the Police Coordinator Headquarters (Mako) and Polsek ranks.
Deputy Chief of Probolinggo Police, Kompol Supiyan, said that intense coordination had been carried out with the Probolinggo District Health Service to overcome the threat of dengue fever which was spreading in the area. This disease is considered very serious and has the potential for death.
“We are anticipating a disease outbreak, which is indeed something that will have an adverse impact,” he said.
In his response regarding the members’ condition, Supiyan said that to date, all members are in good health. However, there are several members who report symptoms of feeling unwell and are currently undergoing medical examination to determine whether they are infected with dengue fever.
“For the health condition of the members, they are in good condition,” added Supiyan, Saturday (14/10/2023).
Meanwhile, data on dengue fever cases in Probolinggo Regency recorded 596 cases with 18 deaths during the 2023 period.
With this high figure, Probolinggo Regency is now the area with the highest dengue fever cases in Indonesia, so the preventive measures taken by the local police are very important.
