Chairman of the Eradication Commission Corruption (NCP) Firli Bahuri signed KPK Regulation No. 1 of 2022 concerning KPK Personnel. One of the points in the regulation states that those who have been dismissed with honor or disrespect cannot become KPK employees.
Article 3 paragraph 2 of the Perkom explains that if it is necessary to strengthen the tasks and functions of the organization, the KPK can request and accept employees from civil servants and members of the National Police in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.
Then article 11 stipulates that admissions from civil servants and members of the police must follow a conditional selection.
One of the conditions in article 11 letter b reads “never been dismissed with honor, not at his own request or dishonorably as a civil servant, Indonesian National Army soldier, member of the Indonesian National Police, Commission employee or dishonorably dismissed as a private employee“.
If you refer to these conditions, a KPK employee who was honorably dismissed because he was declared not to have passed the TWK assessment, was less likely to rejoin the KPK. It is known that one of the dozens who were dismissed was Senior Investigator Novel Baswedan, who has now become a National Police ASN.
A source CNNIndonesia.com said, with the Perkom, it is impossible for the dismissed KPK employees to return to the commission.
“It is closed that the ex-employee who was fired from the KPK will return to the KPK after the issuance of Perkom Number 1 of 2022 concerning the Employment of the KPK because in one of the articles it states: “to become employees within the commission, are those who have never been honorably dismissed not at their own request”said the source.
Meanwhile, responding to the Perkom, a former KPK investigator who is currently a National Police ASN, Mochamad Praswad Nugraha, assessed that Firli et al had extraordinary fears.
“This shows a tremendous fear of the integrity and work results of employees who were laid off through TWK [Tes Wawasan Kebangsaan]”said Praswad to CNNIndonesia.com through a written statement.
CNNIndonesia.com has contacted the Acting Spokesperson for KPK Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to confirm this Perkom matter. However, the person concerned has not responded to the short message sent until this news is revealed.
