Fireworks are not allowed, but carbide shooting is: suppliers see an increase in orders

In the turn of the year 2018 to 2019, 35 people were injured by carbide shooting, according to figures from SafetyNL. Almost all victims were men, 85 percent were between 15 and 29 years old. More than three quarters of the victims had ignited the carbide themselves. During the last turn of the year, 9 percent of all injuries from legal fireworks were from carbide.
