Warnings of the General Secretariat of Civil Protection for two regional units

According to the Fire Risk Prediction Map issued by the General Secretariat of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Climate Crisis & Civil Protection, the risk of fire is in risk category 4 in the following areas:
- South Aegean Region (PE of Rhodes, PE of Kalymnos, PE of Kos, PE of Karpathos)
- North Aegean Region (PE Samos, PE Ikaria)
The General Secretariat of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Climate Crisis & Civil Protection has informed the competent government agencies involved, as well as the Regions and Municipalities of the above regions, in order to are on high alert civil protection in order to immediately deal with any fire incidents.
At the same time, the Office of Civil Protection recommends citizens to be especially careful and avoid actions in the open air that can cause a fire by negligence, such as burning dry grasses and branches or cleaning residues, h use machines that cause sparks such as circular saws, welding devices, the use of outdoor grills, smoking bees, throwing lit cigarettes, etc.
It is also recalled that against the duration her fire season is prohibited the combustion of fields.
