According to Porto’s District Operations Command (CDOS), the “fire is in the process of being resolved” and, at 21:20, firefighters were doing “the aftermath and eliminating other outbreaks” that were not yet dominated.
At 8:30 pm, the Mayor of Gondomar, Marco Martins, told Lusa that the fire was “very close to being overpowered” and that there was “no damage, besides the forest, to register”.
“It’s all under control,” Marco Martins then underlined.
At 21:35, 113 operational personnel were supported, supported by 33 vehicles, according to the website of the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection.
The fire alert reached the authorities at 15:20.
