Firefighters threatened with death and struck this Wednesday morning in Toulouse

The simple intervention turned into an ordeal. Firefighters were attacked during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, rue des Vignes in Toulouse. Around 3 a.m., help was called in to intervene in the Borderouge district. A man obviously seemed very alcoholic in the street, witnesses were afraid for his health.

Once there, the firefighters wanted to approach him to help him, but this individual rebelled. He first threatened the soldiers with fire. Then, still drunk, he kicked one of the firefighters in the hip.

In a daze, this man continued to run his nerves on the emergency services by throwing garden furniture at them. Finally, he smashed the rearview mirror of their truck, giving it a head butt. “As always for this kind of aggression, we filed a complaint at the police station,” says Colonel Sébastien Vergé, head of the departmental fire and rescue service of Haute-Garonne. The investigation is entrusted to the police of the urban security of the right bank.
