Firefighters help elderly woman trapped at home in Funchal

The Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters were called to Rua Dr. Fernão de Ornelas, in Funchal, to help an elderly woman who was trapped in her room.

Apparently, the woman fell into the room and was unable to get up. The elderly woman will now be transported in an ambulance to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital.

PSP is also on site.

As it was possible to ascertain, this is the same elderly woman who this past week fell at home and had to be assisted by this same fire brigade.
