Gina Carano was fired from “The Mandalorian” in 2021, among other things, because of a post in which she compared being a Republican in the United States to the persecution of Jews in Nazi Germany. In the past, she has been criticized for spreading conspiracy theories about the US presidential election.
In the lawsuit, Carano demands that the court order Lucasfilm to rehire her and pay her the equivalent of at least SEK 800,000 in damages.
Elon Musk has promised to assist financially in the lawsuits where Twitter/X users were “discriminated” because of their posts. Carano originally posted her comments on her Instagram account, but is still getting help from X’s owner.
