A tragedy took place on Wednesday afternoon in Cesena, in a house in via Madonna dell’Olivo, in a countryside area, in the first hills of Cesena. A fire broke out in which an 89-year-old disabled woman unfortunately lost her life.
After the alarm, the 118 health workers, the State Police and the Fire Brigade rushed to the scene, but unfortunately there was nothing to do for the woman. The causes of the fire, which developed on the ground floor, are being examined by the investigators, it seems that everything started from a short circuit that originated, it is assumed, from an electric stove. The woman was surprised by the flames while she was in her bedroom. On the spot also the scientific police and the coroner who ascertained the death of the old woman.

Upon arrival, the Fire Brigade found themselves in front of a fire that had drawn the whole room, the woman was unfortunately found dead in the bed, where she was as an invalid. The operations to extinguish the fire were not at all simple, in those excited moments the 89-year-old’s 20-year-old nephew tried to save her, so much so that he had to be hospitalized for intoxication.
