Factory Pertamina in Cilacap, Central Java, caught fire. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
“Yes, right now there is a fire in tank number 39,” said the Cilacap firefighter picket officer, Adipras, when contacted detikcom, Friday (11/6/2021).
Adipras said the Cilacap Fire Department received a report at around 19:00 WIB. A fire engine was deployed.
“Earlier, we received a report of the incident at around 19.00-19.30 WIB. The fire brigade unit was launched with a size of 5 thousand liters, with 4 personnel,” he explained.
So far, the cause of the fire is unknown. “The cause is unknown,” said Adipras.
Separately, the Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Iskandar F Sutisna, confirmed that there was a fire at Pertamina’s Cilacap refinery.
“As a result of coordination with Pertamina RU IV Cilacap and the Cilacap Police Chief, it is true that a fire occurred around 18.30 WIB on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Tank T39 of the Paracilin Refinery Complex of PT Pertamina RU IV Cilacap,” said Iskandar in his statement.
