A fire broke out around 4 pm on Tuesday in a forest area between the settlements I iron and Great Derio of the municipality of Soufli in Evros.
The fire was most likely caused by lightning.
34 men and 15 EMODE members, 14 water vehicles and 4 aerial vehicles are working to extinguish it.
According to information in the area, it started to rain a while ago.
